What does Gorilla Calls actually do?+
We design and run a call-handling system for your business. It answers calls you'd otherwise miss, works out what the caller needs, asks the questions you'd ask, and moves them to the right next step — booked in, routed to you, or captured with the details you need to follow up.
Do I have to answer every call this way?+
No. You choose. Some businesses want every call answered, some only want the ones that would otherwise ring out, some only want after-hours or overflow when the line is already busy. You set the rules and we build to them.
Do I need to change my phone number?+
Usually not. Every phone setup is a bit different, so we go through yours on the discovery call and confirm what's possible before anything changes.
What happens if a caller needs a real person?+
That's part of the design, not an afterthought. We agree upfront what gets handled, what gets passed to you or your crew straight away, and what counts as urgent enough to interrupt you for.
Will it sound robotic to my customers?+
We build it to sound natural and professional, and to handle your kind of calls specifically. How it introduces itself is your call — we'll walk through exactly what callers hear before it goes live.
Can it book jobs straight into my calendar?+
If that's the right outcome for your business, yes. We work with how you already book, rather than asking you to change your process to suit the tool.
Do I have to learn or configure anything?+
No. That's the point. There's no dashboard you need to master and no automations for you to wire up. We handle the build, the testing and the changes.
What does it cost?+
It depends on how your calls are handled and what the system needs to do — a single after-hours line is a different job from a multi-crew operation with booking and follow-up. We'll walk you through it on the discovery call once we understand your setup, so the number you get is a real one.
How long until it's live?+
It depends on how much the system needs to do. Once we've been through your setup we'll give you a straight timeline rather than a guess.
What kinds of businesses is this for?+
Mostly trades and home services — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping and contractors. More broadly, any business that runs on inbound calls and can't always get to the phone.
What do I need to bring to the discovery call?+
Nothing prepared. Just be ready to talk through how calls reach you today, who answers them, and what you wish happened instead.
What if you don't think you can help me?+
We'll tell you on the call. We'd rather be straight with you than sell you something that won't move the needle.
